Jon was raised in a rural area in central Pennsylvania. He started an early interest in hunting and fishing. With family ties to the Kansas City area, he moved to KC in 1993 to pursue a degree. At age 11, he learned to tie flies after breaking his leg in a soccer match. Hiking along streams in pursuit of fishing holes for trout. Jon has managed hunting properties for his family for over 20 years in MO. Hunting season is more than just a couple weeks a year. Creating habitats and understanding deer and turkey patterns during all seasons is key to success, he believes. His love for the sport keeps him up all night to this day before opening day. It’s rewarding when all his hard work during the year pays off to help himself and family members harvest deer and turkey. He has also earned a master’s degree in business administration from Central Michigan University. He and his wife have a son, daughter and a three year old grandson who he wishes to introduce to the enthusiasm of hunting and fishing. Other goals among many in his professional career, he has completed 25 full marathons and ran the Boston marathon twice, qualifying five times.
